Benefits

The Grand Baume Tonic’s exceptional concentration in shea butter and sunflower seed oil makes it an ultra-moisturising and regenerating companion for daily use.

As with all Cosmydor’s Baumes, it is exclusively formulated around blends of deeply regenerating virgin cold-pressed oils. When applied to the skin, it melts into an extremely rich and deeply hydrating texture, which is then absorbed quickly.

The bitter orange, grapefruit, peppermint and clove leaf essential oils gather to give you a distinctive tonic feeling both on your skin and for your mind.

MORE DETAILS ON GRAND BAUME TONIC’S BOTANICAL ORGANIC FORMULA

  • Butyrospermum parkii butter (shea butter)

Recommended for its protective properties against skin dehydration. Readily and durably absorbed by the skin.

  • Sesamum indicum seed oil (sesame seed oil)

Sesame seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids. Known for its softening and skin-rejuvenating properties, it penetrates quickly without being greasy.

  • Helianthus annuus seed oil (sunflower seed oil)

Sunflower seed oil is a light-weight oil that is extremely rich in Vitamin E. This oil is known for its moisture retention and skin softening capabilities. It doesn’t leave behind an oily residue and it also helps in forming a natural barrier on the outermost layer of the skin in order to protect it from damage. The presence of antioxidants like Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E in sunflower seed oil makes it an excellent anti-ageing ingredient because it manages to protect the skin from free radical damage as well as sun damage.

  • Citrus aurantium amara leaf/twig oil (petit grain or bitter orange essential oil)

An essential oil extracted from the leaves and green twigs of the bitter orange tree, it is astringent, i.e. tightens pores to improve skin texture. It is also known to help the epidermis better withstand external aggressions and signs of ageing. Its vitamin C is known for activating microcirculation and toning the complexion, and for soothing dry, irritated skin as well as acne-prone skin.

  • Citrus paradisi peel oil (grapefruit essential oil)

The oil is extracted using the cold pressing method. In skincare, it has astringent and detoxifying properties, as well as strengthening the connective tissue. It promotes blood circulation and skin regeneration, as well as firming the skin. Additionally, it has antibacterial and antiseptic effects.

  • Rosmarinus officinalis leaf oil (rosemary essential oil)

Rich in volatile oils, flavonoids and phenolic acids that are antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, rosemary helps to cleanse and soothe skin. It has excellent toning and binding effects, while at the same time increasing blood flow with its rubefacient action, which in turn promotes proper skin function. It helps to relieve skin congestion, resulting in firmer skin and better skin tone. It promotes a healthy-looking complexion.

  • Eugenia caryophyllus bud oil (clove leaf essential oil)

Clove oil is extracted from the dried flower buds of clove. The oil is rich in plant-derived phenylpropanoids, with the main compound being eugenol. The other bioactive compounds include thymol, carvacrol, and cinnamaldehyde. It has rejuvenating and stimulating properties, which can increase blood flow to the skin and make it look radiant. You will find it in many products for lessening the effects of ageing, like wrinkles, sagging skin, and blemishes.

  • Mentha piperita oil (peppermint oil)

Refreshing, invigorating fragrance agent, it is also used for its astringent properties (tightens pores thus refines the skin texture), and as a purifier.

  • Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract (rosemary extract)

Rich in volatile oils, flavonoids and phenolic acids that are antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, rosemary helps to cleanse and soothe skin. It has excellent toning and binding effects, while at the same time increasing blood flow with its rubefacient action, which in turn promotes proper skin function. It helps to relieve skin congestion, resulting in firmer skin and better skin tone. It promotes a healthy-looking complexion.
